Lynca Saito | 2nd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Born in 2003 in NYC, Lynca Saito (15) started her piano lessons at age 7 with Mina Kusumoto, and now studies with Dr. Jeffrey Cohen at Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Division. She also learns with Dr. Nina Lelchuk at Queens College. Lynca has won numerous competitions and awards, as well as performing at renowned concert halls, such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, Lincoln Center, Dimenna Center, and Engelman Recital Hall.

In 2013, she earned a perfect score at highest level in the NYSSMA piano festival. In 2014, she passed ABRSM highest level piano exam with Distinction. She gave her first solo recital and performed 45-mins program at age 10 as the reward for winning First Prize in the Concert Festival Solo Recital Competition. Since then, she has given her own solo recitals. She also received Grand Prix of the Concert Festival International Competition, and Top Medal of AADGT festival. In 2016 and 2018, she was granted First Prize of the Rondo Vanguard Competition. In 2018, she also received the First Prize of Concert Festival Solo Recital Competition, BSM Performance Competition, the First Prize of IMO (International Music Organization New York) Solo Competition. She also won the Second Prize of IMO Concerto Dubut Competition and performed Greig Piano Concerto in A-minor, Op. 16 conducted by Eugene Takahashi. In 2019, she won the First Prize of IMO Solo Competition.

In Summer 2016 and 2017, she participated in IKIF (International Keyboard Institute and Festival) and received countless number of master classes. In Summer 2018, she participated in Boston University Tanglewood Young Artist Piano Program, and will join BUTI this summer again. Lynca is now a Sophomore at Stuyvesant High School in NYC. She is a member of the high school symphonic band as a flutist. She also belongs to Stuyvesant Speech and Debate Club, Piano Club as a vice president, and Japanese Club.
