Ziyue Zeng | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Ziyue Zeng is a 9th grade student of Aptos High School in California. She began her piano studies when she was five years and four months old. Since then, music has become an indispensable part in her life. She spends hours practicing every day and participates in many competitions and concerts. 

Ziyue has been studying piano with Dr. Chia-Lin Yang who is a faculty member of University of California Santa Cruz and San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College Division. Ziyue has won many awards and honors, including the Santa Cruz Symphony Muller Scholarship 2019, 2020 and 2021, Winner/Performer of Junior Bach Festival 2019, 2020 and 2021, 2nd place of KAMSA Music Competition 2021, 2nd prize of Cesar Franck International Piano Competition 2020, 2nd place of USIMC 2020, 2nd prize of Piano Talents 2020, 2nd place of the Costa Rica Piano Festival 2020, 3rd prize of International Grande Music Competition 2020, Bronze prize of WPTA Finland International Piano Competition 2020, 3rd prize of ENKOR International Music Competition 2020, etc. She has recently been invited to participate in well-known Young Chamber Musicians for the 2021-2022 season. She is also a member of Santa Cruz Youth Orchestra and its Chamber Music Academy. She has been invited to perform at the 2020 Annual Baroque Masterclass at CMC in San Francisco and the Merkin Concert Hall in New York in Summer 2020. During the pandemic, she participated in Bedside Concerts series via Zoom for the ICU patients and medical staff in the Bay Area, California.
