12-year-old Allison Lie is a seventh grader in Naperville, Illinois. She is a student of Sueanne Metz and is a prizewinner of various competitions. She is a recent winner of the American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music and will be performing at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Her other achievements include prizes from the Memorial Contest of the Illinois Music Association, the 2014 U.S. New Star Piano Competition, the Eleventh Annual Sejong Music Competition, the North Shore Contest, etc. In addition, she attended the International Institute of Young Musicians in Kansas last summer.
In school, Allison is an avid reader and enjoys writing fictions. She also loves the rigor of long distance swimming and running.
