Garrett Tan-Torres is a 15-year-old high school sophomore of the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts, where he majors in advanced piano. Garrett took piano for six years, starting at the age of nine with Rita Schaefer, who discovered him as a gifted child with an unusual musical maturity, unwavering desire, sensitive touch, and an intuition for piano exhibiting his immense love for the instrument. He graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music Development Program with a 100 percent score and won 1st place for Piano Solo, Ages 15-16 in the 2015 Bolognini Scholarship Competition.
