Top prize winners of the 2016 Boulder International Chamber Music Competition, cellist Coleman Itzkoff and pianist Alin Melik-Adamyan formed Amicus Duo as a result of a last minute call to perform together in a chamber music concert in 2014. Having never met before, the duo immediately felt a strong connection as collaborators and expressed their mutual passion for chamber music. Since their formation, Amicus Duo has appeared in showcases, master classes, recording studios, and in concert halls around the United States. Upcoming engagements include a performance on a Kurt Weill recital presented by Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra’s director Jeffrey Kahane in January and a concert in San Luis Obispo in March 2017.
