Ryan Andrew Chi | 2nd Prize | Piano 2017 | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Ryan Andrew Chi is a homeschooled 9th-grader. He has been playing piano for the last 9 years and is currently studying under the guidance of Ms. Erna Gulabyan. Ryan has won first prize in numerous competitions, including the CAPMT Honors Competition, the Golden Era of Romantic Music International Competition, the United States New Star Piano Competition, the Marilyn Mindell Piano Competition, the Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition, and the Silicon Valley Second School Competition. He has also been invited to perform at Carnegie Weill Hall twice as part of the American Fine Arts Festival, at the Royal Albert Hall Elgar Room, and at the Junior Bach Festival for piano, violin, and organ. In his spare time, he enjoys baking and eating pastries, playing chess, being in 4-H, solving puzzles and crosswords, and composing music.
