Yannie Tan | 2nd Prize | Piano 2017 | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Yannie Tan, 16 years old, a rising 11th grader at Atlanta International School. She has been playing piano since age four and has been studying with Professor Alexander Kobrin at Eastman School of Music.

Achievement as follows:
2010 – 2017 : Top prize winner of the Georgia Piano State Competitions
2010 : Atlanta Steinway Society C. Merrell Calhoun Prodigy Award
2011 : Grand Prize winner at the American Protégé competition
2012 : Grand Prize winner at the National Young Artist Showcase

Yannie has performed with the Johns Creek and LaGrange Symphony Orchestra, ACSO, and the Wesleyan String Quintet, and has initiated many benefit concerts for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Besides music, Yannie enjoys science, industrial design, running and dancing. She has been a dancer for 12 years with the Atlanta Chinese Dance Company and is a valuable member of her school’s varsity track and field team.
