Klosiewicz & Warchalewska Duo was created as a result of a long cooperation of two musicians and friends from Poland, Weronika Klosiewicz and Barbara Warchalewska. Recent graduates of the prestigious Schola Cantorum Basiliensis and Hochschule für Musik Basel (institutions of the Musikakademie der Stadt Basel in Switzerland), they have had a possibility of working together regularly since they moved to Basel in 2014. Both passionate about music, Weronika and Barbara are interested in exploring possibilities of their instruments in repertoire from various periods, lately focusing on late Renaissance and Baroque, Eastern European Romanticism and contemporary works. The Klosiewicz & Warchalewska Duo is advancing under tutelage of Barbara Warchalewska, currently enrolled in the remarkable Soloist Master’s Degree.
