Alan Wang, 15, started playing piano at age 5, and violin at age 7. His primary violin teacher was Ms. Eunhee Kim; currently, he studies with Professor Haroutune Bedelian at UC Irvine. Alan completed Music Teacher’s Association of California (MTAC) Advanced Level of the Certificate of Merit for both Piano and Violin in 2017.
Alan was the 2nd place winner at the 52nd Annual Strings Solo Competition, Intermediate Division, American String Teachers Association (ASTA) Greater Los Angeles Final in 2017. He was a member of the Orange County Youth Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra, and California All-State Honor Orchestra.
Alan is a big fan of the Golden State Warriors. In his spare time, Alan plays tennis and basketball and enjoys reading.
