Louis Auxenfans, 13, attends the University of Chicago Laboratory school. He is an enthusiastic pianist and clarinetist, contributing to his school, local churches, and senior homes. In early 2018, he launched his Carnegie Weill Hall debut in NYC. He began his piano studies at age five with Laura Fenster at Sherwood Music Conservatory. He won 1st Prize of CAMTA (Chicago Area Music Teachers Association) Roberta Savler piano competition. He is also a repeat winner (1st & 3rd) prize of the Sherwood Conservatory scholarship competition. He won four Gold Medals at the CAMTA Sonata Festivals. In the past five years, he was invited to perform at the IL Federation of Music Club’s Festival Honors Recitals. In addition, he has been appointed as the Principal Clarinetist of the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestra. He is also a member of the Prairie Piano Trio.
