Marc Soong has shown a keen interest in classical music since the age of three. He had won numerous piano competitions including the Los Angeles Young Musician International Competition, San Jose International Piano Competition, American Protege Piano and String Competition, Classics Alive Young Artists Competition, Steinway Piano Competition, Redlands Bowl Young Artists Competition and many others. Marc studies piano under the guidance of Professor Daniel Pollack and Dr. Vladimir Khomyakov of USC Thornton School of Music. He has performed in many venues such as the legendary Isaac Stern Auditorium Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, Zipper Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Redlands Bowl in Redland, CA. Marc was selected as a scholarship recipient of the Young Musicians Foundation David Weiss Scholarship. He loves to share his music with the community, especially at senior centers in the San Gabriel Valley area. Marc is currently a sophomore at Stanford University Online High School. He also attended several programs for math and science at California Institute of Technology and participated at National Youth Leadership Forum: Explore STEM. Besides enjoying practice piano. Marc likes composing and swimming.
