Szu-Ying Huang grew up in Tainan, Taiwan, and began to study piano at the age of 7. Her subsequent primary teachers included Yu Wing Gin, Ju Lien Lin, and Dr. Nam Yeung. She has performed in master classes with Natasha Lipkina, Natela Mchedlishvili, Esther Ning Yau, Chong-Pil Lim, Arkadi Zenzipér, Ming Qiang Li, Benjamin Lo, Iswargia Sudarno, and Jay Yuan. During her education, she has performed numerous piano solos and chamber recitals in the competitions and music festivals, which include Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Italy, and the United States. After she received her Bachelor degree from Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan in 2015; in the same year, she was accepted into the master degree in piano performance by Azusa Pacific University in Los Angles County, California, United States.

Currently, she is graduate student and studying with Dr. Felix Tao Chang. In 2017, she had received awards from several California competitions, which include MTAC (Music Teacher’s Association of California) States Competition, CAPMT Honors Competition, and CAPMT Honors Concerto Competition. In fall 2018, she will be performing Scriabin piano concerto, op. 20 mov. 3 with Azusa Pacific University Orchestra in Lake Avenue Church, Pasadena, California.
