Astrid is sixteen and grew up in Phoenix, AZ. She started studying voice in 2008, the most recent four years were with Vocologist Nancy Harris. She moved to Vienna to attend AMADEUS-Vienna International School where she received the Music and Arts Scholarship to study voice there. She loves living in Vienna, with its rich history of music. Her boarding school is just a 15 minute trolley ride from the Volksoper, where she sees shows regularly. She spent last summer at the Bel Canto Institute in Florence studying voice and Italian, and was awarded the Performance Award. While in Phoenix, she studied Shakespeare first folio and was in the North High School Poetry club, writing & reciting her poems. She is the youngest of five and loves to wrestle with her pup “Cricket” the Corgi.
