Elizabeth Strebulaev | 3rd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Elizabeth started playing the piano at the age of 4 at the Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) in the San Francisco Bay Area of California with her first piano teacher Muza Mdzinarishvili before studying at CSMA with Ludmila Kurtova. Since the beginning of 2019 she has been a student of Lena Grozman. She has recently passed with distinction the 4th grade exam of the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music (ABSRM). Her ABSRM exam score for the 3rd grade that she also passed with distinction was the highest of any CSMA student that academic year.

Elizabeth has recently received the 1st prize at the Virtuoso international Music Competition and the 1st prize at the Great Composers Competition for her interpretation of a piece by Kabalevsky and the 2nd prize at the Golden Era of Romantic Music international piano competition for her interpretation of a Tchaikovsky's Mazurka. She performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London in April of 2019 and was invited to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City and at the Robert Schumann museum in Germany.

Elizabeth loves learning and playing pieces by Diabelli, Clementi, Schumann, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Kabalevsky. She also loves playing for public and looks forward to her Carnegie Hall recital later in 2019! Her musicianship is greatly enhanced by having a loving and caring older brother, Daniel, who, at 11 years of age, is also an accomplished pianist.
