Nathan Lin is a freshman attending Townsend Harris High School and currently studies violin with Elizabeth Faidley. In 2018-2019, Nathan served as Concertmaster in the Chamber Orchestra of the Elite Academy of Strings, and section leader of the Townsend Harris High School Chamber Orchestra. Nathan is also leader of the Violin Virtuosi chamber group, which will embark on a multi-city concert tour in Europe in the summer of 2019. Nathan has soloed with the Washington Heights Chamber Orchestra and the International Music Organization Chamber Orchestra, as well as played in masterclasses with acclaimed violinists Lisa Batiashvili, Ray Chen, Cyrus Forough, and Katie Lansdale. Nathan has been a winner in the Prima Volta Music Competition, East Coast International Competition, and VIVO International Music Competition. In 2018, he was a finalist in the New York Chamber Players Concerto Competition. Nathan was also the 2018-2019 State Winner for the Junior String Competition in the Music Teachers National Association Performance Competition.
