10 year old cellist Uma Rohatgi is from Stanford, CA and is a student of Jonathan Koh. She is the winner of competitions including the MTAC VOCE Junior Solo Strings Category (3rd place State Competition, 1st place San Francisco Branch, 2019), United States International Music Competition (2nd place, Young Artist Award 2019), US Open Music Competition (1st place and Outstanding Gold Medalist, 2018), Bach Festival (soloist, 2018), Korean Times Competition (2nd place, 2018), and Enkor International Strings Competition (3rd place, 2018). Outside of music, Uma enjoys student government and was elected as her Elementary School Secretary and Vice President in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Uma also enjoys recreational gymnastics, ice skating and tennis.
