Jaeyee Jung | 3rd Prize | Violin | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Jaeyee Jung, a freshman at Enloe High School, NC, has been studying violin since age 7 with former NC Symphony Assistant Concertmaster Rebekah Binford. This year, Jaeyee won second place for the Chapel Hill Philharmonia 2020 Young Artist Concerto Competition. In 2019, she was the first place winner of the NC Bach Festival Young Artists Concerto Competition, and in 2018, she was the Concertmaster of the NC-ASTA All-State Orchestra.

From school ensembles to Eastern Regional Orchestras, Jaeyee has been performing in orchestras for 6 years. She is currently in leadership positions within Triangle Youth Philharmonic and Enloe Symphony Orchestra.

Jaeyee has been playing in chamber ensembles such as string quartets, string quintets, and trios, for 5 years through North Carolina Chamber Music Institute. She has been attending the Summer Chamber Music Institute at ECU and Lamar Stringfield Music Camp for several years.

In addition to violin, piano is one of Jaeyee’s many interests. Playing piano, she won first place in the North Carolina Woman’s Club 2020 Arts Festival.
