Jeffrey Zhao | 3rd Prize | Piano | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Jeffrey Zhao is a 6th grader in Bellevue, Washington. He has studied piano with Maria Maltseva for the past six years. At the age of 12, Jeffrey is already a determined musician, with an extensive and difficult repertoire.

Highlights of Jeffrey's recent accomplishments include being the youngest pianist selected to play in the 2019 Seattle Young Artists Music Festival (SYAMFA) concerto playoffs, winning gold medals at the 2018 and 2019 SIPF Virtuoso Festival and the 2019 SIPF Viennese Festival, first place at the 2018, 2019 and 2020 Eastside Music Teachers Association (EMTA) Scholarship Competitions, silver medals at 2019 Chopin Northwest, 2019 SIPF Bach Festivals, and 2019 Russian Chamber Music Foundation Competition, bronze medal at 2020 Chopin Northwest, second prize in 2019 ENKOR Int'l Music Competition, and first place for concerto performance at the 2017 Performing Arts Festival of the Eastside (PAFE).

Jeffrey is an avid skier, loves reading, and excels at math.
