The Koh Duo | 2nd Prize | Chamber Music | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Eric Shih Koh and Katie Shih Koh began their studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM) in 2015, and Eric joined the Young People’s Symphony Orchestra (YPSO) as a violinist in 2019.  Their current and former teachers include Heidi Hau (piano, chamber music), Natasha Makhijani (violin), and Amy Chiu (chamber music).  Over the years, Eric and Katie have won awards for their solo and duet performances.  Events include the YPSO Concerto Competition, International Grande Music Competition (IGMC), Rising Stars Grand Prix International Music Competition Berlin, ENKOR International Music Competition, United States Open Music Competition (USOMC), United States International Music Competition (USIMC), Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition, American Protégé International Piano and Strings Competition, American Fine Arts Festival Competition, Golden Key Music Festival Competition, and competitions hosted by the Private Music Teachers Association of Iowa.  Their early studies began at The Preucil School of Music in Iowa City, with Lauree Christman (piano) and Diane Dahl-McCoy (violin).
