Caren Wang | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Caren Wang is a junior at Palo Alto High School, CA. She has been playing percussion and violin since the age of 6.  She started percussion at the UMusic organization in Fremont, where she learned basic percussion skills from UMusic organization founder Yu Ling Wang and San Jose State professor Galen Lemmon. Currently she is learning marimba from teacher Tammy Chen. Her solo and chamber performance have been accepted for 2019 and 2021 junior Bach Festival. Her chamber group has also been awarded in the National League of Performing Arts and performed in Carnegie Hall in NY, 2019.

Caren enjoys reading, drawing, and hiking during her spare time.
