Adrian Pu | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Adrian Pu is a 17 year old 11th grader at Davis Senior High School in Davis, California. He started playing piano at 5 years old with Huei Ping Chen Lin and currently studies with Dr. Natsuki Fukasawa. As a concerto competition winner, he has performed with the American River College Orchestra and the Merced Symphony. He also performed for over 3000 students in the Merced county and Los Banos Unified School District at children’s concerts. He participated in the 2018 Orfeo Music Festival in Vipiteno, Italy and won the first prize in their International Music Competition. he attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Piano Program in 2019. He has also participated and won top prizes in numerous competitions such as the Best Mozart Performance from the Great Composers Competition, the Music of Europe competition from the Great Composers Competition, US New Star Piano Competition, US New Star Etude Competition, US Open Music Competition, California Association of Professional Music Teachers’ Contemporary Music Competition, Festival of New American Music Young Artists Competition and more. He has performed at Carnegie Hall for receiving a top prize in the American Protege Competition of Romantic Music. He was also a gold medalist at the California Music Educators Association’s State Music Festival. He also has received a scholarship from the American Guild of Organists and currently studies organ with Dr. Ryan Enright. He also has been playing the violin for 7 years and currently studies with Ms. Kineko Barbini. He is also a frequent chamber musician and is a regular member of the winter and summer chamber music programs under the instruction of Ms. Susan Lamb Cook.
