Lucas is currently a Junior at Stanford Online High School. He studies privately with Ory Shihor and began studying piano with John and Mina Perry 5 years ago. Lucas has been a participant in summer music programs such as John Perry Academy (2017/2018), Boston University Tanglewood Institute, and the SJIPC Summer workshop (2020). He won 2nd prize overall in his age category for the 2020 Enkor Piano Competition and 3rd prize in the 2021 PianoHouse competition Liszt category (unrestricted age). Lucas has and will continue to collaborate with the Wallis Center for Performing Arts’ GRoW program to present and perform the music of great composers to a variety of audiences. Lucas also enjoys writing and thinking about music on websites such as Medium and Quora. Besides music, Lucas runs the Chemistry Olympiad Club at his school, participates in the politics club, and is very interested in economics and mathematics.
