Haoyu Gu | 1st Prize | Strings | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Haoyu Gu is a 10 year-old cellist, who was accepted into the Tianjin Juilliard School Pre-College division at the young age of 9 and has been studying with Yeonjin Kim ever since.

Haoyu has won several prizes in both national and international music competitions,In October 2020, he won The First Prize of the 2nd French Music Competition and the youngest first prize winner in the Young Artists cello group(8-16 years old), In December 2020, he won the First Place of the 2020 King’s Peak International Music Competition,In February 2021, he won the First Prize and Category winner of the Gustav Mahler Prize Cello Competition 2021, In March 2021, he won the First Prize and Category winner of the Rudolf Barshai International Strings Competition.he participated in many masterclasses given by renowned cellists, including Lynn Harrell, Martti Rousi, Li-Wei Qin, Wolfgang  Emanuel Schmidt .
