Chang Su | 2nd Prize | Violin | 9th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Born in March 1998, Chang Su began his music study with piano at age 3. In 2002, he started to learn violin with Ming Jin. In 2007, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing, and became a member of the youth orchestra of the conservatory. Between 2017 and 2021, he was the principal second violin, and completed his Bachelor’s Degree program at the conservatory. In 2021, he got admission to the Master’s Degree program in violin performance. His current teacher is Professor Ti Zhang. 

His is a frequent performer in international string festivals, youth art festivals, new year concerts, new works concerts, and chamber music concerts. He was also invited by the Chinese Embassy in the UK to record “Year of the OX Spring Festival Gala Concert”. He performed at famous venues like the Forbidden City Concert Hall, Poly Theatre, and National Centre for the Performing Arts.

Highlights of his competition achievements include First Prize in the 4th Singapore International Music Festival, Second Place in the 3rd Humming Bird Music Awards China Youth Music Competition, Second Prize in the 6th Xiamen National Youth Violin Competition, and Gold Award in the 6th National Youth Performing Arts Competition.
