Yue-Xin Pei | 1st Prize | Violin | 9th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Yue-Xin PEI started playing the violin at the age of 6 with her grandfather Xiujie Cao. In 2017, she attends the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna where she studies with Prof. Elisabeth Kropfitsch and assistant Johannes Fleischmann. She made her debut in 2013, performed as a soloist with Qingdao Theatre Symphony Orchestra. 

She has won the first prize in the International Music Competition for young artists in Qingdao. In 2021, She won the 1.Prize of China-Spain International Music Competition( violin category). Also 1.Prize winner of Salzburg International Music Competition “ Grand Prize Virtuoso “ and Bonn International Music competition, as well as the winner of the Crescendo International Music Competition. In the same year, she has been selected to the QingPei festival , an orchestra Programm for young musicians in Tianjin Julliard School with full scholarship. 

As a member of Webern Symphony Orchestra, she performs regularly in the Musikverein Wien and Wiener Konzerthaus under the conductors Franz Welser-Möst, Christoph von Dohnanyi and Philippe Jordan. 

As a chamber musician , she has been selected to the China-Germany Music Bridge Program where she performed with professors Christoph Henkel, Mark Gothoni, Hansjacob Staemmler and Jean Piguet. 

She was also one of the founders for Qingdao Trio in her hometown,Qingdao. "
