Lyra Song, 9 years old, started her piano studies at the age of 4. She is currently studying under Chia-Lin Yang and John McCarthy at the Pre-college Division of San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She also took master classes with Ory Shihor in the past years. Lyra won the Silver Award in 2023 WPTA Finland International Piano Competition. Lyra attended the MSM piano summer program in 2022 and the Colburn piano summer program in 2023.
Besides playing piano, Lyra also enjoys playing cello in orchestras and chamber groups, playing guitar with her mom, writing, painting and traveling.
