Sarah Chen | 2nd Prize | Piano | 10th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Sarah Chen is a ninth grade student at Princeton High School. Sarah joined Mr.  Hanbo Liu’s piano studio in November 2020 and was excited to start her new music journey with Mr. Liu.    

Sarah started playing the piano at the age of six. Through the years Sarah has won many awards including  Grand Prize and Platinum Winner from Apex International Music Competition, Gold and Finalist at Young Maestro International Competition, 1st place at NJMTA Commissioned Composer Competition, 1st place at New York Piano Teacher Congress Honor Program, 2nd, and 3rd prize at the New Jersey Music Teacher Association (NJMTA) Young Musicians Competition, Gold and Judge’s Award at IMPACT Competition, 1st place at Elite Music Competition and VIVO International Music Competition, and many more. Sarah has performed at prestigious concert venues including performing seven times at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, once at Merkin Hall and once at Lincoln Center. Sarah is also involved in Back to Bach project, a nonprofit organization that is devoted to inspire and develop music and art education to children while teaching them the value of hard work and passion. Sarah is fortunate to have studied with wonderful teachers including Mrs. Ingrid Clarfield, and Ms. Victoria Chow.
