Yuelin Zhong, 13, has praced piano for 10 years, and is currently a student of Dr. William Goldenberg, faculty at Northern Illinois University. Yuelin has earned top honors at numerous competitions. At the age of eight, Yuelin received a Talent Scholarship at the Northern Illinois University Fine Arts Department. The same year, she won First Place in Level C in the Roberta Savler Piano Contest. At nine years old, she received outstanding recognition for Concert Level Solo and Duet at the Grandquist Memorial Music Competition. In 2012, Yuelin received First Place again, this time in Level D, in the Roberta Savler Piano Contest. Performing once more in the Grandquist Memorial Competition the same year, she received First Place in the Olympic Level. In 2013, Yuelin received honors at the American Protege International Competition of Romantic Music and performed in the winners' concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In the beginning of 2014, she made it into the finals for the Fifth Annual Emilio del Rosario Piano Concerto Competition, and received Third Place.
