Angelina Cheng Wong | 2nd Prize | Piano | 10th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Angelina Cheng Wong, age 15, from San Francisco, currently attends the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and has studied with Eleanor Wong, Chun-Chieh Yen, and Hans Boepple.

At twelve, Angelina was a finalist at the Ettlingen International Piano Competition. She was a semifinalist and an Encouragement Award recipient at the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. Among top prizes include the Philadelphia International Piano Competition, San Jose International Piano Competition, Pacific Musical Society, CAPMT Honors Competition, and the Hong Kong and Asia Piano Open Competition. Angelina has attended masterclasses of pianists Kathryn Brown, Alan Chow, Gary Graffman, Alexander Korsantia, Marina Lomazov, and John Perry.

Angelina excels in academics as a school scholar, and was shortlisted at the Hong Kong Young Writers Awards. In California, she was a school Spelling Bee champion, 2nd runner-up at the Burlingame City Spelling Bee Competition, and received perfect scores at the state assessment.
