Artistic biography
The 2015 winner of the National Collegiate Solo Competition hosted by the U.S. Army Band and the 2014 recipient of the Zulalian Foundation Award, trombonist Brittany Lasch's playing has been described as "masterful" by the Syracuse Post-Standard. As a graduate of Manhattan School of Music, Ms. Lasch is passionate about introducing audiences to solo trombone music and has performed as a soloist with the Queens Symphony, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Manhattan School of Music Philharmonia.

In addition to being the winner of 2010 Eisenberg-Fried Brass Concerto Competition, Ms. Lasch is a current finalist in the International Trombone Association Frank Smith Solo Competition. She has also won prizes at competitions such as the 2012 U.S. Army Band National Collegiate Solo Competition, 2010 Queens Symphony Young Soloist Competition and the 2006 International Women’s Brass Conference Competition She was also a finalist in the International Trombone Association’s Larry Wiehe Solo Competition and Gilberto Gagliardi Competition. Upon graduating from Manhattan School of Music, Brittany received the coveted John Clark Award, given for outstanding accomplishment in Brass Performance.

Ms. Lasch is a member of the Verbier Festival Orchestra in Verbier, Switzerland. She has spent past summers at the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan, the Castleton Festival, the National Repertory Orchestra, and the Aspen Music Festival. She has also been a participant in the prestigious Alessi Trombone Seminar in Fossano, Italy, and at the Summer Trombone Workshop at Temple University. Brittany has performed with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Vermont Symphony, Albany Symphony, Symphoria (Syracuse) and the New World Symphony in Miami Beach.

A native of Park Ridge, Illinois, Ms. Lasch is a current Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at Boston University. She earned her Master of Music degree from Yale School of Music. Her principal teachers include Toby Oft, Scott Hartman and Steve Norrell.
