Artistic biography
Emily Carter is currently located in Evanston, IL pursuing her Masters Degree in Music at Northwestern University with Rex Martin.

-Musicians Club of Women Nurenberg Scholarship Award of $10,000, 2015

-Graduate Assistantship at Northwestern University for 2014-2016

-Fellowship winner for Tuba, San Francisco Summer Brass Institute 2013 and 2014

-Featured Soloist with Brass Quintet with Lakota West Symphonic Winds at the Midwest Clinic, 2012

-College Division Tubist at Brevard Music Center 2012

- Finalist in the Interlochen Arts Academy Concerto Competition 2010

-Semi Finalist in the Leonard Falcone Student Tuba Competition for years 2009 and 2010 -Level Two Division Winner of NFAA YoungArts Competition in 2010

-Soloist on NPR’s radio show “From the Top” 2009
