He placed 2nd prize at the American Protege International Competition for both solo and his Piano Trio performances. Masato was was also recently named one of the youngest Finalists in the Feuer Memorial String Competition at age 12. He also recived Honorable Mention in the Junior Division of the Asian American International Competition in 2014.
He served as the Concertmaster for the District XII Honors Orchestra for Arlington and Fairfax County.
