He is a frequent winner of prizes and honors, including the State Cello Competition (Tashkent) and the International Cello Competition in Amalfì, among others. He is a D.M.A. student at the University of Kansas.

Pianist Teng Fu began his studies in his native China and studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing.
