David Bleyman | 3rd Prize | Piano 2017 | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

I am 11 years old. I started playing piano when I was 5.5 years old. Whilst I don't really like to practice, I truly enjoy performing my favorite pieces at various concerts, particularly those of Romantic composers like Schumann, Chopin and Tchaikovsky. I also play chamber music with my grandfather who is a cellist. In 2014, 2015 and 2016, I won the Grand Prix awards at the Music-Fest Rising Talents Competition and gave three performances at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York. This year, as a result of becoming a winner of several competitions, I played at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York and The Academy of Music at Kimmel Center in Philadelphia. I also received the top High Honors awards at the NJMTA 2017, 2016 and 2014 Spring Recital Auditions and Honors award at the NJMTA 2013 Spring Recital Auditions. When I am not practicing piano or doing my homework, I love to play sports and video games with my friends, read and travel.
