Allison Chang, from Fremont, California, is a junior at Irvington High School and is currently studying with Isabelle Chapuis-Starr. From the time Allison first began playing the flute at the age of eleven, she has received numerous awards, among which includes being accepted into the prestigious Junior Bach Festival in both 2015 and 2016, winning the Young Artist Award in the 2017 Fremont Symphony Orchestra's Young Recitalist Competition, and placing second in the 2017 United States Open Music Competition Instrumental Solo Showcase. Most recently, as a first prize winner of the 2017 American Protege Music Talent Competition, Allison performed at Carnegie Hall in December. Aside from her musical pursuits, Allison has played competitive soccer since the age of 7 and is currently a goalkeeper for her NPL club team.
