Angela (Doyoun) Kim is a Music Captain at Santa Sabina College on full academic and Music Scholarship. She is a former student of Prof. Gerard Willems and currently taught by Dr Kirill Monorosi from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
She is an active pianist and chamber musician, who has performed across Australia and won first prizes at numerous Australian Eisteddfods as well as in Europe, Korea and USA for her recital and in masterclass.

Angela began to launch an international career as she was selected first prize recipient for 2017 Grand Virtuoso International Competition and being nominated to perform at the Mozarteum, Salzburg, Austria and recently won first prize in the advanced piano section at the Golden Classical Music Awards New York International Competition 2018 and invited to perform her debut, at the prestige Carnegie Hall at New York.

Her many major achievements includes ‘Neta Maughan Bach and Baroque Award’ and Dr Miriam Hyde Award’ as winning first prize in the open age championship. She received the Daphne Dickenson Trophy at the Piano Championship, the Blue Scope Win Wollongong Eisteddfod. She took first prize at Australian National Eisteddfod and St George Eisteddfod and was selected one of six students across NSW to take part in the little Lev Vlassenko Piano Master class with Oleg Stepanov last year.

This year she is going to perform the Beethoven Concerto No 5 ‘The Emperor’ at the City Recital Hall and the Schumann piano Quintet at the Sydney Piano World in June. Also she was nominated to perform solo recital in the 'Theme and Variations Emerging Artist Piano Series' in October.

Angela is planning a career as a concert pianist, performing in Chamber Music and accompaniment, teaching and artistic research.
