Claire Rong, age 9, is attending 4th grade at Half Day Elementary School in Lincolnshire, Illinois. Claire started to play the piano at age of 4. She is currently taking piano lessons with Mrs. Sueanne Metz. For the past two years with Sueanne, Claire has made rapid progress at piano and has become more and more passionate about classical music.
Claire has won numerous local, national and international piano competitions including first place at the 2018 AFAF International Concerto Competition, 2017 US New Star Piano Competition where she was awarded the overall Best Performance, 2017 Carmel Klavier International Competition and 2017 Grand Prize Virtuoso International Competition. She was also a second prize winner at the 2017 and 2018 Chopin International Piano Competition in Hartford, CT.

Claire has given numerous public performances including at Musikverein in Vienna, Austria, Kurozweki Palace in Poland, and Carnegie Hall in New York city. She has an upcoming performance with the Kostroma Symphony Orchiestra in Russia in July 2018.

In addition to music, Claire enjoys drawing, reading and travelling around the world. She has a natural lover for animals and enjoys playing with her cat, Sunny and Chilly.
