William Lu is currently a sixth grader, attending Canyon Vista Middle School in Austin, TX. He started his violin study at age of four and a half and his current teacher is Ms. Sandy Yamamoto. Music has definitely been part of his life. He is truly awed by J.S. Bach's Violin Partitas and Sonatas and Mozart's violin concertos. In the past, he has won the 3rd prize in 2017 ENKOR International Music Competition (4th Edition), the 1st prize in 2017 Great Composers Competitions' Master of Violin Concertos, the 2nd prize in 2017 GCC's Rising Talents of Americas Competition and the 3rd prize in GCC's 2017 Artist of the Year competition.

While not playing violin, he loves squash and cycling. His favorite sport is triathlon. He also enjoys origami, playing Fortnite, and petting his lovely dog, Rocky.
