Allison Yun | 2nd Prize | Piano | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Pianist Allison Yun made her Carnegie Hall debut last spring as a winner of the American Protégé International Music Competition. She recently earned both silver and bronze prizes for the World Piano Teacher's Association Finland Piano competition. As a winner of the Artist of the Future concerto competition, she performed with the Beach Cities Symphony as a piano soloist this spring. She was also the first prize winner of the Great Composers International Competition and won second prize for their 2018 Artist of the Year Award. She received first prize in the 2019 CAPMT Sonata Competition Advanced division, 2018 MTAC Scholarship Competition and second prize at the 2018 CAPMT Contemporary Competition. She was invited to perform at Colburn School's Zipper Hall as a result of winning first prize at the 2017 Lansum International Music Competition. She has won multiple prizes at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival and was both the branch and regional winner of the Southern California Junior Bach Festival.

Allison began the piano at the age of six and currently studies with Esther Keel. She is in ninth grade at Chadwick School where she also studies composition and is an alto in the Jubilee Singers group. Until recently, she has been the first viola chair in the school orchestra. Also passionate about classical ballet, she has seriously studied dance since the age of three and is currently part of the Chadwick Dance Company. She also enjoys serving on numerous committees and clubs at Chadwick.
