Kyle Yuen

Fifteen-year-old percussionist and 10th grader who currently studies at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California and currently a percussionist at the San Francisco Symphony Youth Orchestra. He is currently studying with Anthony Cirone and Tammy Chen, also had pleasure to have private and master classes with some of the greatest marimba artists such as Gordon Stout, She-e Wu, Pei Ching Wu, WeiChen Lin, Beverley Johnston and Theodor Milkov.

Kyle is the 1st place winner for the PASIC Keyboard Highschool category in 2019. He also had won a Grand Award in Young Artist in 2020, selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past three years as soloist and chamber group,

Kyle also had a chamber group who had won the Grand award in 2019 and a Gold Award in 2018 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City, USIMC, Junior Bach Festival.

When not studying for school and music, I enjoy hiking, skiing, rafting, camping and travelling with the family.


Jonatha Yuen

Jonathan had won the 1st place of Young Artist at USIMC, also had been selected selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past two years as soloist and chamber group,

He also had a chamber group who had won the Grand award in 2019 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Winner of chamber group at USIMC, PAS and Junior Bach Festival.

Bowen Hu

Bowen Hu was born in the December of 2005 in Southern California. He is currently living in the Bay Area. Bowen Hu started learning percussion at the age of four. He has been with his current chamber group since 2016.

He really enjoys playing music with his friends. Together, they have won a Grand Award in 2019 and a Gold Award in 2018 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

Bowen is now in the Saint Francis High School Marching Band. He has been selected consecutively to the top bands in CASMEC for the past three years. He won first place in three different categories for both mallets and drums at the PAS Competition in the California Chapter in eighth grade. He also got selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past three years.

Other than music, he played in the San Jose Jr. Sharks Leagues for four years. Now, he is playing in the school’s varsity ice hockey team. Other hobbies that Bowen enjoys are badminton, swimming, and piano.


William Wang

Born in 2005, William Wang started playing music at the age of four at Umusic, an organization specializing in the education of the percussive arts. Since then, he has worked with several teachers in the Bay Area and tried several different instruments, including the cello and piano. At age nine, William began playing chamber music with a few other Umusic students. His current chamber group has been chosen to perform on several different occasions in the Junior Bach Festival, awarded the top prize for the National League of Performing Arts, and featured in various different charity concerts. William currently lives in the Bay Area along with his family. Besides music, William also enjoys playing video games, reading, and biking with his friends.
