James Lacey III | 3rd Prize | Strings | 5th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


James Lacey, III is 10 years old and is from South Pasadena, California. He has been studying the cello since he was 5 years old under the guidance of Vardan Gasparyan. In 2018, James debuted at Carnegie Hall as a soloist and first prize winner of the American Protégé International Music Talent competition where he also earned the Judges’ Distinction Trophy. He also performed at Carnegie Hall in 2018 as a soloist and winner of the American Fine Arts Festival’s International Romantic Music Competition. James was a 2018-19 scholarship recipient of the Los Angeles Violoncello Society. When James is not playing the cello, he can be found on the baseball and soccer fields across Southern California.
