Jonathan Ma, a high school junior, studies piano with Dr. Ning and Jie Lu. Some of his achievements include: 1st prizes in Best Chopin and Best Schumann Performances in Great Composers Competition, 2nd place in 2018 American Protégé Piano and String International Competition, 2nd prize in 2017 America Fine Arts Festival Concerto Competition; 3rd Prize in 2017 New York Young Debut Musicians Competition. Jonathan has performed with Salt Lake City Symphony and American West Symphony.
Timothy Liang is sixteen years old and has been playing piano for eight years. He has studied with Ning and Jie Lu and has competed in multiple competitions including international ones. Timothy’s awards include: first place in the 2017 USU Concerto Competition, first place in the 2017 University of Utah Summer Arts Solo Competition, honorable mention in the 2017 Utah MTA Piano Competition, second place in the 2018 Great Composers Brahms Competition, second place in the 2018 American Fine Arts Concerto Competition, second place in the 2019 ENKOR International Piano Competition, and first place in the 2019 American Protégé Concerto Competition. He has also played as a soloist with the American Fork Symphony and Salt Lake Symphony.
Both Jonathan and Timothy have been Mundi Ambassadors since 2014 and have performed in various community events. They also help out with Mundi community projects and teach in Harmony Hub piano classes.
