Jonathan Yuen | 3rd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 6th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Thirteen-year-old percussionist and 8th grader who currently studies at William Hopkins Junior High School in Fremont, California and currently a percussionist at the California Youth Symphony.. He is currently studying with Anthony Cirone and Tammy Chen, also had pleasure to have private and master classes with some of the greatest marimba artists such as Gordon Stout, She-e Wu, Pei Ching Wu, WeiChen Lin, and Theodor Milkov.

Jonathan had won the 1st place of Young Artist at USIMC, also had been selected selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past two years as soloist and chamber group,

He also had a chamber group who had won the Grand award in 2019 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City. Winner of chamber group at USIMC, PAS and Junior Bach Festival.

When not studying for school and music, I enjoy hiking, skiing, rafting, camping and travelling with the family
