Sean Yusin | 3rd Prize | Piano | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Sean Yusin (10) was born in California, and began learning piano when he was 5 with Sachiko Ogino as part of his pre-school’s after-school program. He currently studies piano with Nobuyo Nishizaka.

His has earned awards and recognitions in various competitions and opportunities, including Southern California Jr. Bach Festival (finalist in 2018, silver medal in 2019), MTAC San Fernando East Valley Scholarship Audition in 2019 (2nd place), MTAC Certificate of Merit (California State Honor and Branch Honor both in 2019 and 2020), American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition (3rd place), and Great Composers Series Best Bach Competition (2nd place). He has an upcoming performance scheduled in Carnegie Hall in New York in December this year, and his pursuit of music continues.

He enjoys music and also plays violin in his school orchestra. He loves sports and competes on a local tennis team.
