Kyle Yuen | 2nd Prize | Winds & Percussion | 7th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Sixteen-year-old percussionist and 11th grader who studies at Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, California and a percussionist at the San Francisco

Symphony Youth Orchestra currently. He had pleasure to have private and master classes with some of the greatest marimba artists such as Gordon Stout, She-e Wu, Pei Ching Wu, WeiChen Lin, Beverley Johnston and Theodor Milkov.

Kyle is the 1st place winner for the PASIC Keyboard Highschool category in 2019. He also had won a Grand Award in Young Artist in 2020, selected to perform at the Junior Bach Festival for the past four years as soloist and chamber group. His chamber group who had won the Grand award in 2019 and a Gold Award in 2018 at the National Young Artists Chamber Music and Ensemble Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York City several times. 

When not studying for school and music, he enjoys hiking, skiing, rafting, camping,  travelling with the family and playing with his dog.
