Alexander Fu | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition


Alexander Fu, 13, is currently a 7th grader in Jefferson middle school.  Born in 2007, he demonstrated great passion towards music from a very young age. He started learning the piano when he was 6. Two years later, he started his violin learning journey. Now he is a student of the pianist Natalia Snitkovsky and the violinist Pavel Ilyashov.

In 2013, he was invited to attend the Hong Kong International Piano Competition and won Honorable mention. Two years later, at 8, he was invited to attend 2015 8th Shanghai Youth International Competition and was awarded the third prize. In 2017, he participated in Crescendo International competition and won the third place. As an honor, he was invited to the winners’ recital in the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport, MA. In 2020, he entered the Great Composers Competition Series 2020: Best Mozart Performance and won third place. In 2021, he was awarded the second place in the Great Composers Competition : The music of Mediterranean Europe. Besides music, he also loves math, world chess, drawing, coding, and is an avaricious reader.
