Cary Wang | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

Cary Wang, 6th grader from Horace Mann School as well as Precollege student at Manhattan School of Music, has been invited to perform in Carnegie Hall twelves times, Vienna’s prestigious Ehrbar Hall and Mozarthaus, London Royal Albert Hall and Yamaha Artist Piano Concert Series with Yamaha Artist Mr. Jose Ramon Mendez, etc.  He has won many local and international piano competitions since age of six. 

Cary began his piano learning at the age of six with top national piano educator Ms. Felicia Zhang of Greenwich, CT. Currently he majors in Piano under Prof. Jeffrey Cohen at Precollege Division of Manhattan School of Music with GPA 4.1(A+) and on Dean’s List during 2018-20 school years. His dedication to piano and passion for music is remarkable for his young age. He plays with a rare combination of focus, energy and maturity beyond his young age.

Dec 2019, he won competitive Manhattan School of Music Annual Concerto Competition as the youngest performer with his vibrant and impeccable performance of Mozart’s Concerto No. 21 in C Major, K. 467, 3rd mvt and made his orchestral debut with New York CONCERTI SINFONIETTA in January 2020 

At young age of 9, he accomplished Piano Level 10 Assessment of Royal Conservatory Music Development Program with First Honor and Music Theory Level 8 with First Honor.

Besides piano, Cary also plays cello, and enjoys sailing, golf, tennis, football, and painting. He is junior investor and entrepreneur.
