Erdenetangad (Tuvana) Soronzonbold | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


Sixteen-year-old pianist Erdenetangad Soronzonbold, goes by the name Tuvana, is a sophomore at Mission High School and a San Francisco Conservatory of Music Pre-College student, studying with Dr. Chia-Lin Yang. He is a native of Mongolia and was born in South Korea. Tuvana has won numerous awards including Villa de Madrid Piano Competition, the Glory International Music Competition, Junior Bach Festival 2019 and 2020 in both solo and duo categories, KAMSA, WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, Milano PianoTalents International Competition, US Open Showcase Solo and Contemporary, US New Star Competition-Mendelssohn, East Bay Chamber Music Festival, and the Bay Area Association Music Legacy Competition. He has performed in Spain, Maxine Hall Health Center, local community centers and the Asian Cultural Center in the Bay Area. During the 2020 pandemic, he performed virtually for the ICU patients and the medical staff members at the UCSF. Tuvana has been featured in the San Francisco Night Ministry and a national magazine Time in Mongolia. He has participated in a masterclass with renowned pianist Manfred Fock. In his spare time, he enjoys running, biking, and watching Netflix.
