Ingrid Luo | 3rd Prize | Piano | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


A student of Jenny Shin, Ingrid Luo is a sophomore at Sage Hill School in Southern California. She was introduced to piano at age 7 and soon noted for her interest and talent in music. She has been a prize winner of both international and national piano competitions, including Best Performance in the LA international Liszt Competition, Gold Award in WPTA Finland International Piano Competition, and AADGT International Young Musicians Competition. She placed 1st in the American Protégé International Competition of Romantic Music as well as the Grand Virtuoso International Competition. As a Gold Medalist in the Junior Bach Festival Complete Work Audition , she also won 1st Alternate in the MTAC Solo Competition , MTAC Scholarship Competition, and 1st place in multiple Open Categories of Southwestern Young Music Festival. She made her debut performance at both the Zankel Hall and Weil Hall of Carnegie Hall, as well as the Zipper Concert Hall of the Colburn School of Music. What has been motivating Ingrid to continue her piano pursuit is her love of classical music, which she believes will essentially bring peace, beauty and love to this world.

She is passionate about serving the community by sharing her enthusiasm of music at senior centers, schools and many other venues. Aside from music and community service, Ingrid also enjoys reading, writing, dancing, and traveling.
