Landon Kim | 3rd Prize | Violin | 8th Edition | ENKOR Int'l Music Competition

 


My name is Landon Kim. I am 14 years old and I am going into the 9th grade at Bartlett's Magnet Academy for STEM.

In the summer of 2020, I was accepted into the Virtuosi Virtual Summer Academy where James Ehnes and Julia Fischer gave exclusive lecture. This summer, I have been accepted into the prestigious HeifetzPEG Summer Program. I have been studying violin for 6 years, and I have studied under Mrs. Injoo Choi for 3 years. I am currently at the Midwest Young Artist Conservatory. I am participating in MYAC's Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Program. I was a part of MIC's Chamber Music program and was coached by Mr. Alexander Djordjevic, a Fulbright scholar. I have received honorable mention at MYAC's Walgreens Concerto Competition, and I placed as a finalist in the Sejong Music Competition. I have performed solos at MYAC's I Solosti program directed by Charles Pikler, former principal violist at CSO. I have performed in masterclasses taught by Desiree Ruhstrat and Gerardo Ribeiro."
